Animal Exhibits

Come see a variety of live invertebrates, fish, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, and birds - including raptors. Visitors can learn all about these unusual neighbors living right in their own backyard! The animals that call our Nature Center home can live out their lives here, receiving daily care, grooming, quality food, medication, and veterinary assistance. Our keepers provide them with a variety of creature comforts, including sod, log cavities, rocks, live or silk plants, blankets, treat cubes, tennis balls, rawhide chews, and cow bones. Our turkey vulture "Groucho" has lived at our Center for 26 years and counting, and her favorite past time is picking through the leftovers from the other bird of prey cages!
