April 2008 Passenger & Air Cargo traffic at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport

ACTIVITY OVERVIEW
April 2008

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for April 2008 was 747,509, up 3% compared to April 2007. April 2008 enplanements totaled 382,550, up 1.5%. Southwest Airlines passengers passengers totaled 271,852, up 8% compared to April 2007; American Airlines (including Trans States) passengers totaled 186,388, down 6.5%; Continental Airlines passengers totaled 87,151, down 0.1%; Delta Air Lines (including SkyWest Airlines, Shuttle America, and Atlantic Southeast Airlines) passengers totaled 67,814, up 8%; United Airlines (including SkyWest and Mesa) passengers totaled 32,154, down 14%; U.S. Airways (including Mesa) passengers totaled 22,537, down 6%; Northwest Airlines (including Pinnacle Airlines) passengers 20,914, up 3%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 20,187, down 2.5%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 17,690, up 7%; Express Jet Airlines passengers totaled 13,112, up 366%; Midwest Airlines passengers totaled 4,114; Aeromexico totaled 865 passengers down 38.5%.

April 2008 air cargo totaled 18,303,989 lbs., up 7% compared to April 2007. International air cargo totaled 454,169 up 11.5%. Federal Express carried 8.6 million lbs., down 2.5%; ABX Air, Inc. carried 3.3 million lbs., up 27.5%; and United Parcel Service carried 3.2 million lbs., up 22%.

Air Services transferred 508,194 lbs of mail, up 7%; and 1.9 million lbs. of belly freight, up 2%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 7,033 up 3%. Combined operations (including Commercial and military) totaled 18,868, up 7 %.

January – April 2008 Year-to-Date

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – April YTD was 2,856,330, up 5.5% compared to January – April 2007. January – April 2008 enplanements totaled 1,456,298, up 5.5%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 1,010,225, up 7.5%; American Airlines (including Trans States) passengers totaled 739,247, up 0.6%; Continental Airlines passengers totaled 328,782, up 0.1%; Delta Air Lines (including SkyWest Airlines, Shuttle America, and Atlantic Southeast Airlines) passengers 232,016, down 9.5%; United Airlines (including SkyWest, and Mesa) passengers totaled 133,951 up 1.1%; U.S. Airways (including Mesa) passengers totaled 89,999, down 0.01%; Northwest Airlines (including Pinnacle Airlines) passengers totaled 77,001, down 2%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 75,529, up 8%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 71,249, up 14%; Express Jet Airlines passengers totaled 67,838, up 2,311.5%; Midwest Airlines passengers totaled 14,676; Aeromexico totaled 6,451 passengers, up 11.5%.

April YTD (January – April 2008) air cargo totaled 71,759,475 lbs., up 12%. International air cargo totaled 1,668,775 lbs., up 3.5%. Federal Express carried 35.1 million lbs., up 13.5%; ABX Air, Inc. carried 12.7 million lbs., up 24%; and United Parcel Service carried 11 million lbs., up 5.5%.

Air Services transferred 1,940,664 lbs of mail, up 0.15%; and 7.2 million lbs. of belly freight, down 8%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 25,602 for January – April YTD, up 6.5%. Combined operations (including Commercial and military) totaled 73,504, up 11.5%.
