February 2008 Passenger & Air Cargo traffic at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport

ACTIVITY OVERVIEW
February 2008

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for February 2008 was 654,632, up 7% compared to February 2007. February 2008 enplanements totaled 333,860, up 7%. Southwest Airlines passengers passengers totaled 229,368, up 8% compared to February 2007; American Airlines passengers 171,407, up 3.5%; Continental Airlines passengers totaled 78,954, up 7%; Delta Air Lines (including SkyWest Airlines, Shuttle America, and Atlantic Southeast Airlines) passengers totaled 51,161, down 21.5%; United Airlines (including SkyWest and Mesa) passengers totaled 29,848, up 7%; U.S. Airways(including Mesa) passengers totaled totaled 20,505, up 0.2%; Northwest Airlines (including Pinnacle Airlines) passengers totaled 17,050, down 5%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 16,729, up 19%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 16,651, up 36%; ExpressJet totaled 15,773; Midwest Airlines totaled 3,282. Aeromexico 15,935 passengers, up 86%.

February 2008 air cargo totaled 17,337,270 lbs., up 8.5% compared to February 2007. International air cargo totaled 403,935, up 14.5%; Federal Express carried 8.6 million lbs., down 7%; ABX Air, Inc. carried carried 3 million lbs., up 130%; and United Parcel Service carried carried 2.5 million lbs., up 1.5%.

Air Services transferred 490,128 lbs of mail, down 9%; and 1.6 million lbs. of belly freight, down 7%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 6,379 up 1%. Combined operations (including Commercial and military) totaled 18,101, up 14 %.

January – February 2008 Year-to-Date

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – February YTD was 1,312,448, up 8.5% compared to January – February 2007. January – February 2008 enplanements totaled 666,448, up 8.5%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 457,869, up 9%; American Airlines passengers totaled 348,922, up 5.6%; Continental Airlines passengers totaled 156,508, up 7% Delta Air Lines (including SkyWest Airlines, Shuttle America, and Atlantic Southeast Airlines) passengers 103,729, down 14%; United Airlines (including SkyWest, and Mesa) passengers totaled 56,965, up 0.5%; U.S. Airways (including Mesa) passengers totaled 41,939, up 2%; Northwest Airlines (including Pinnacle Airlines) passengers totaled 36,034, down 5.2%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 33,997, up 21%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 32,474, up 24%. ExpressJet Airlines totaled 31,431 passengers; Midwest Airlines passengers totaled 5,787; Aeromexico totaled 3,387 passengers, up 31%.

February YTD (January – February 2008) air cargo totaled 36,110,863 lbs., up 6.5%. International air cargo totaled 864,290 lbs., up 20%. Federal Express carried 17.9 million lbs., down 3%; ABX Air, Inc. carried 6.2 million lbs., up 36%; and United Parcel Service carried 5.2 million lbs., up 4%.

Air Services transferred 980,317 lbs of mail, down 0.5%; and 3.6 million lbs. of belly freight, down 5.5%

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 12,226 for January – February YTD, up 9.5%. Combined operations (including Commercial and military) totaled 35,991, up 16%.
