January starts 2008 with 10% passenger increase,
Passenger & Air Cargo traffic at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport

ACTIVITY OVERVIEW
January 2008

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January 2008 was 657,816, up 10% compared to January 2007. January 2008 enplanements totaled 332,588, up 10%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 228,501, up 10% compared to January 2007; American Airlines passengers totaled 177,515, up 8%; Continental Airlines passengers totaled 77,554, up 7%; Delta Air Lines ((including SkyWest Airlines, Shuttle America, and Atlantic Southeast Airlines) passengers totaled 52,568, down 5%; United Airlines (including SkyWest and Mesa) passengers totaled 27,117, down 6%; US Airways(including Mesa) passengers totaled 21,434, up 4%; Northwest Airlines (including Mesaba Airlines and Pinnacle Airlines) passengers totaled 18,984, down 5.5%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 17,346, up 9%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 15,745, up 29.5%; ExpressJet totaled 15,658; Midwest Airlines totaled 2,505. Aeromexico totaled 1,725, up 4%.

January 2008 air cargo totaled 18,773,593 lbs., up 4.5% compared to January 2007. International air cargo totaled 460,355 lbs., up 25.5%. Federal Express carried 9.2 million lbs., up 2%; ABX Air, Inc.. carried 3.2 million lbs., down 1%; and United Parcel Service carried 2.7 million lbs., up 7%.

Air Services transferred 490,189 lbs. of mail, up 10%; and 1.9 million lbs. of belly freight, down 4%.

Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 5,847, up 20%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 17,890, up 18.5%
