Indy – Austin nonstop via Northwest Airlines to begin May 2 at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport
AUSTIN, TEXAS – Northwest Airlines has announced a new Indianapolis, Ind. – Austin, Texas nonstop flight to start May 2, 2008. As Indianapolis is a center for businesses ranging from information technology to the sports industry, the nonstop appeals to both business and leisure travelers. Likewise, with Austin being a high tech leader and known for entertainment, travelers are expected to take advantage of the flight from both cities.
“Indianapolis is an important market in the Northwest route network and we are pleased to expand nonstop service from the ‘Crossroads of America’ to the popular business and leisure city of Austin,” said Steven Sear, vice president of sales and customer care. “This new nonstop will make travel between Indianapolis and Austin more convenient, reducing travel time by almost 90 minutes.”
