U.S. Airways connects its Charlotte hub with Austin-Bergstrom International Airport starting May 5, 2008
AUSTIN, TEXAS – US Airways will begin a twice daily nonstop service between Austin, Texas and the airline's largest hub in Charlotte, N.C. beginning May 5.
“With a solid business and government base supported by outstanding educational institutions, a diverse economy, culture and tourism, we are pleased to offer central Texas connections to Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean through our Charlotte hub,” said US Airways Director of Express Planning Jason Reisinger.
Fares can be purchased immediately at www.usairways.com, by calling 800-428-4322 or through a travel agent. A morning nonstop flight will depart Charlotte at 9:25 a.m., arriving in Austin at 11:35 a.m. An evening nonstop will depart Charlotte at 6:10 p.m., arriving in Austin at 8:20 p.m. Service from Austin departs at 7:00 a.m., arriving in Charlotte at 10:27 a.m. and the second nonstop departs Austin at 12:13 p.m., arriving in Charlotte at 3:40 p.m. (all times local).
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport has nonstop service to 53 destinations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Nearly 8.9 million passengers came through Austin-Bergstrom International in 2007.
