JetBlue’s new Long Beach-Austin nonstop starts May 1, 2008 at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport
AUSTIN, TEXAS – AUSTIN, TEXAS – JetBlue Airways has announced a new nonstop flight between Austin, Texas and Long Beach, Calif beginning May 1, 2008. “We're thrilled to give our growing customer base what they've been asking for: JetBlue service on more routes from the L.A. Basin,” said JetBlue CEO Dave Barger.
“Daily nonstop service departs Austin-Bergstrom International Airport at 6 p.m., arriving at Long Beach Airport at 7:05 p.m. Return service departs Long Beach at 10:15 a.m., arriving in Austin at 3:15 p.m. (all times local). JetBlue Airways began flying Austin in January 2006, with daily nonstop flights to New York/JFK and Boston. The new Austin-Long Beach route will operate on 100-seat EMBRAER 190 aircraft.
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport has nonstop service to 54 destinations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico with 330 daily flights. Nearly 8.9 million passengers came through Austin-Bergstrom International in 2007.
