Comprehensive Plan Community Inventory

Before beginning the actual comprehensive planning process, cities usually create baseline information on demographic, economic, and environmental indicators, and the type and location of services the City provides. City staff are busy creating an extensive Community Inventory containing much of this information.

The Community Inventory will include tables, graphs, maps, and geographic information system files (GIS) related to planning. Neighborhood Planning and Zoning Department (NPZD) staff are leading this effort with the generous assistance of other departments. Staff is doing as much of this work up front and in-house to save time and money. In addition, we are taking advantage of recently completed departmental reports and efforts , instead of recreating information we already have.
