Narratives November 4-28
A two person show featuring works by Margaret Adie and Stephanie Strange
The objects used in the assemblages of Margaret Adie cease to be themselves and are given new life; often the direction is dictated by the objects themselves. The result is a thoughtful and often whimsical mix of memories and associations.
In this body of work by Stephanie Strange, the typewriter takes on a dual role of both creator and creation. Drawings grow from typed characters, while electric typewriter keys lend themselves to sculpture. The typewriter is a medium to bring into existence visual stories.

Childhood: An International Photo Exhibition Juried By Jamie Lee Curtis
January 7 – 28
A group exhibition presented by Texas Photographic Society (TPS). Both Amateur and professional photographers were invited to submit color and black and white works that depict images of childhood. The juror is Jamie Lee Curtis, actress, children’s book author, activist, photographer and collector. Ms. Curtis said about the exhibit, "Childhood is fleeting – yet sometimes, in a fraction of a second, photographers can capture its essence: joy, pain, play, boredom, frustration, elation. As an author of children’s books I have tried to capture what it feels like to be a child – the good and the bad – and to stimulate a dialogue between children and parents regarding the issues raised in the book. I hope to see creative work that captures childhood’s many guises."
