The project is being implemented by the Anderson Community Development Corporation (ACDC) with Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME funds. The project consists of 48 rental and 52 homeownership units and will be managed by the ACDC and monitored by the City of Austin Neighborhood Housing and Community Development Office.
Status
No additional construction has been started and is not anticipated for another 60 days.
Description
The SCIP II project, bounded by E. 12th and Juniper Streets on the north and south, and Branch and Navasota Streets on the east and west, is currently well underway. The City Council previously approved $4,416,000 to revitalize the area in concert with the Austin Revitalization Authority's focus to provide revitalization and economic development along the East 11th and East 12th Street corridors. The Anderson Community Development Corporation (ACDC), the sponsoring non-profit, anticipates commencing construction on the south side of East 12th Street of townhome units. The units, currently slated as rental, will provide an additional 16 units in the SCIP II project.
