Anderson Hill Redevelopment Project(formerly SCIP II)SummaryAnderson Hill Redevelopment Project (AHRP) is designed to redevelop an area between East 11th and 12th Streets and Branch and Navasota Streets into a revitalized residential community through the construction of up to 100 affordable housing units for low and moderate income families. The first phase of the project was implemented by the Anderson Community Development Corporation (ACDC) with the City of Austin implementing the following phases with Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME funds. The project will consist of up to 24 rental and 76 homeownership units. StatusThe City of Austin, NHCDO has broken ground on the first three (3) units in the second phase of the project. Up to twenty-five (25) additional home ownership units will follow in the next eighteen months, along with up to thirty (30) rental units. DescriptionThe Anderson Hill Redevelopment Project is located in Central East Austin, bounded by E. 12th and Juniper Streets on the north and south, and Branch and Navasota Streets on the east and west. The City Council previously approved $4,416,000 to revitalize the area in concert with the Austin Revitalization Authority's focus to provide revitalization and economic development along the East 11th and East 12th Street corridors. 12 - 15 townhouse units are planned on the south side of E. 12th Street, between Curve and Navasota, in the E. 11th & 12th Streets corridor.
