South 1st Street
Summary
This project widened S. 1st Street from Riverside Drive to 500' south
of Barton Springs Road. Originally these improvements were included in
the S. 1st St. Bridge project (TxDOT). The roadway improvements (upgrade
from 4 to 6 lanes with intersection improvements) was awarded on
September 14, 1995 to BRH-Garver as a City project. This project was
designed to improve traffic flow and safety.
Status
The project was substantially complete on May 7, 1996.
