BOX ALARM
Fire at small- to medium-size single-family dwelling
Personnel response: 19 firefighters

HEAVY BOX ALARM
Fire at a large multi-family dwelling or commercial structure
Personnel response: 24 firefighters

HEAVY BOX SECOND ALARM
Additional alarms are called in order to bring additional resources
Personnel response: 43 firefighters

HEAVY BOX THIRD ALARM
Personnel response: 57 firefighters

HEAVY BOX FOURTH ALARM
Personnel response: 67 firefighters

HEAVY BOX FIFTH ALARM
Personnel response: 77 firefighters

HIGH-RISE ALARM
Fire in buildings more than five stories tall
Personnel response: 26 firefighters

HAZMAT INVESTIGATION
Minor incident involving hazardous materials mainly for documentation purposes
Personnel response: 2 firefighters

HAZARDOUS CONDITION
Minor incident involving hazardous materials (spills more than 5 gallons)
Personnel response: 6 firefighters

HAZMAT TASKFORCE
Major hazardous materials incident not requiring encapsulated suits
Personnel response: 11 firefighters

HAZARDOUS MATERIALS ALARM
Major incident involving hazardous materials that usually requires encapsulated suits
Personnel response: 28 firefighters

HAZARDOUS MATERIALS SECOND ALARM
Personnel response: 51 firefighters

MEDICAL EMERGENCY
Priority 1 or 2 medical calls; EMS also dispatched
Personnel response: 4 firefighters

RESCUE ALARM
Entrapment, usually requiring extrication and generally caused by traffic accident
Personnel response: 9 firefighters

MUTUAL AID
Assistance offered to non-City locations such as neighboring volunteer departments or Travis County Fire Control; provided upon request
Personnel response: 7 firefighters

PARKING GARAGE FIRE
Vehicle fire occurring in a parking garage
Personnel response: 7 firefighters

AIRCRAFT EMERGENCY ALERT 1
Aircraft experiencing minor difficulties such as warning light, low fuel, a rough-running engine
Personnel response: 12 firefighters

AIRCRAFT EMERGENCY ALERT 2
Aircraft experiencing major difficulties such as engine on fire, faulty landing gear, problem with hydraulic power
Personnel response: 20 firefighters

AIRCRAFT EMERGENCY ALERT 3
Aircraft is involved in an accident or has crashed on or near the airport
Personnel response: 33 firefighters

TECHNICAL RESCUE
Persons trapped in trench cave-ins, structural collapses, high-angle environments or confined spaces
Personnel response: 23 firefighters

WATER RESCUE
Dive or swift water rescues
Personnel response: 10 firefighters

ALARM ACTIVATION
Activation of an automatic alarm system (usually a pull station or water flow activation)
Personnel response: 3-4 firefighters

CARBON MONOXIDE
Carbon monoxide detector activations
Personnel response: 5-6 firefighters

BROKEN WATER PIPE
Report of a broken water pipe
Personnel response: 3-4 firefighters

FIREWORKS
Report of illegal fireworks usage
Personnel response: 3-4 firefighters

GRASS FIRE
Small grass fire with a low probability for the alarm to escalate
Personnel response: 4 firefighters

WILDLAND FIRE
Fire involving grass and brush that has moderate potenial for the alarm to escalate
Personnel response: 6-8 firefighters

WILDLAND FIRE SECOND ALARM
Personnel response: 30 firefighters

WILDLAND FIRE THIRD ALARM
Personnel response: 48 firefighters

BEE ALARM
Persons endangered by bee swarms
Personnel response: 4 firefighters

OTHER ALARMS:
ASSIST APD, AUTO FIRE, UNSAFE COOKING, DUMPSTER FIRE, SHORT, FLOODING, INVESTIGATE ODOR, INVESTIGATE PREVIOUS FIRE, PUBLIC SERVICE, INVESTIGATE SMOKE, LIQUID SPILL, TRASH, UNKNOWN CONDITION, LOCKOUT, WIRES ARC, WIRES DOWN
