Just a few years ago Phyllis Day created a cottage garden that is very compatible with her Hyde Park cottage.

Wanting to combine her love for flowers and a desire to use less water, she now has a yard that beckons you in through its vine covered trellis and surrounds you with color.

She’s created an oval of lawn surrounded by limestone pavers that allow you to walk up to the flowering plants to take a closer look.

Her rainbarrels allow enough water for her container plants that help provide year-round color to the garden.
You'll find a variety of plant types throughout the garden from the delicate, multi-colored blooms of the columbine to the structural beauty of the burford holly with its bright red berries.

Phyllis has created a welcoming landscape that provides variety and color throughout the year.
