Unified New Orleans Plan to host multi-city Community Congress meeting in Austin, TX at the Carver Branch, Austin Public Library on December 2nd

What:

Austin, TX - On Saturday, December 2, 2006, from 9 A.M.-4 P.M. C.S.T., more than 2,000 New Orleanians - at home and displaced - will come together for an historic Community Congress. At this citywide planning meeting, New Orleans residents in the city as well as those still displaced, will discuss various scenarios for how the community will recover and rebuild. Citizens will be able to express their preferences regarding their scenarios.

The meeting in Austin will take place at the Carver Branch, 1161 Angelina, giving displaced residents the opportunity to participate in a true city-wide discussion.
