After a summer of reading, and spending the fall discussing the book, the third annual Mayor's Book Club wraps up with a screening of the movie based on the book, All the Pretty Horses. As the finale of this year's citywide reading campaign, in partnership with the Austin Parks Foundation, the Austin Public Library will present a program hosted by Mayor Will Wynn at Bartholomew Park at 5201 Berkman Drive off East 51st street or, in case of rain, at the Austin Film Society/Austin Studios-Hangar #1 at 1901 E. 51st.
The Box Car Preachers will provide a musical performance. Concessions will be provided by the Austin Parks Foundation. Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy this free family event. |
