The Computer Learning Center at Little Walnut Creek Branch Celebrates its Sixth Anniversary
October marks the sixth-year that the Little Walnut Creek Branch of the Austin Public Library, 835 W. Rundberg Lane, has been offering and providing free computer training classes to the community. These classes have been made possible by a team of dedicated volunteers who are highly qualified in the field of information technology. The volunteers teach classes on a weekly basis and offer computer instruction in English, Spanish and Vietnamese. Classes range from basic computer skills to more advanced classes in web design. “We are very grateful and appreciative of the branch staff and thank the managing librarian, Stephanie Neely for her outstanding devotion to the education and betterment of the community,” says Steve Hardwick, volunteer instructor. For additional information about classes or the Center call (512) 836-8975 or visit www.cityofaustin.org/library.
