Meet the Author and Photographer of this Austin Photography Scrapbook
Austin, Texas: Then and Now
Dr. Jeffrey Kerr will present his engaging story revealing his Austin, Texas – Then and Now: A Photography Scrapbook centered on Austin’s past as portrayed in the images housed at the Austin History Center, Austin Public Library contrasted with his own photographic portrayals of Austin today.
On January 27, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. Dr. Kerr will trace Austin’s history past and current in a visual forty-five minute presentation to be followed by the opportunity for visitors to tour the photographic laboratory “behind the scenes” at the Austin History Center.
Join Dr. Kerr and the staff at the Austin History Center for a Saturday afternoon of experiencing the rich history of Austin’s past and present. Participants will learn more about how the Austin History Center is preserving the photographic history of Austin and Travis County.
- Event Details: 1:00-3:00pm, Saturday, January 27, 2007, Austin History Center, 810 Guadalupe, Reception Room. Favorite Austin Photos will be available for sale in the Reading Room of the Austin History Center. A book signing will follow the presentation. Sponsored by the Friends of the Austin Public Library.
