Several Austin Public Library Branches will be closed this summer for all day Staff Training
This summer six Austin Public Library Branches will be closed for all day Staff Training on safety and security in the work place. Training will assist all library staff with their daily job duties. The training is taking place across the entire library system and will end in August.
Summer closing:
- Thursday, May 22, Cepeda Branch
- Thursday, June 5, Old Quarry Branch
- Friday, June 13, Spicewood Springs Branch
- Monday, July 7, Yarborough Branch
- Friday, July 18, Hampton Branch at Oak Hill
- Thursday, August 21, Milwood Branch

About the Austin Public Library:
Today, the Austin Public Library has 20 branches, the Faulk Central Library, and the Austin History Center. The AHC is the local history (current events/activities of the City of Austin and Travis County) collection of the Austin (Texas) Public Library. The Austin Public Library has over 450,000 cardholders and others. In 2005-2006, customers visited the libraries over 3 million times and checked out over 3.3 million items.
