PLAY LOCATOR
A Faulk Central Library Research Guide
How do I locate a copy of a particular play?
First, search for the play's title in the Library's catalog, or for the playwright's name in the author portion of the catalog. The play may have been published alone in a book with the same title as the play, or it may appear in a collection of the playwright's work. Sometimes an author or title search will also indicate if the play has been published in an anthology of works by multiple authors.
Indexes
Indexes can be searched by author, title, and sometimes by subject. They will sometimes indicate if the play you need has been published as part of an anthology or collection. Indexes are useful tools in the event that not all the information about the contents of an anthology has been entered in the notes field in the catalog. The print play indexes are located in the general reference area on the 2nd floor of the library, near the information desk.
