Family Saturdays at the MACC

November 14: Huichol Yarn Art

You and your family can participate in this therapeutic and ancient method of art making, as first practiced by the Mexican Huichol Indians. The result will not only be an afternoon of family fun, but also pieces of beautiful and unique art!

ZIRANMEN KUNG FU is a rare and unique traditional Taoist martial art that includes methods of flexibility, nei gong, self defense, forms, weapons, and body conditioning. It calls for the use of the entire body in an integrated way that exercises and strengthens all the muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Shifu Rudy Ibarra’s classes teach confidence, patience, and discipline while improving your grace, strength, agility, and self defense skills.

Instructor Marion Sanchez has been conducting Salsa workshops at the MACC for the past two years. She also has years of experience teaching beginners and professionals alike. Her unique teaching style will have you on the dance floor just after one lesson. We encourage all those that are Salsa music lovers to join Marion for these monthly workshops.

PURA SALSA DANCE SOCIAL
Immediately following the workshops you may enjoy Salsa music and dancing until 10 pm in the MACC's spacious auditorium with hardwood floors. The music will be provided by some of the best, veteran salsa disc jokeys in town. Everyone is invited to attend the Dance Social from 7 - 10 pm. Parking is free and water is available for everybody!
