Power Spanish
(Beginner Level)
Maestra Emily Groves
Mondays & Thursdays 6/15/2009
$350 per course (20 sessions)
6:30pm - 8:00pm
At the end of this course, you will be able to effectively communicate your wants and needs, master the 100 most common verbs in Spanish, and know the basic Spanish grammar. Students work in partners and begin speaking Spanish immediately, and continue to do so during 80% of each class -- a highly efficient use of the time. There is no rote memorization of vocabulary lists or verb conjugations -- you simply learn by using the language. Classes are social, interactive and fun, so a self-motivating environment is created. And the best materials around are used, elaborated by Warren Hardy. They include a self-correcting workbook, verb cards, game cards, audio cd, and key cards.
Emily Groves studied Spanish at The University of California, San Diego, including one year abroad in Santiago, Chile. She has also lived and taught in Madrid, Spain. Most recently, she spent time in San Miguel de Allende in Mexico, training with Warren Hardy in a unique and highly effective method to teach Spanish. Emily is the owner of Spanish At Work, specializing in on-site, tailored classes for business professionals and other adults.

ZIRANMEN KUNG FU is a rare and unique traditional Taoist martial art that includes methods of flexibility, nei gong, self defense, forms, weapons, and body conditioning. It calls for the use of the entire body in an integrated way that exercises and strengthens all the muscles, tendons, and ligaments. It has similarities to both Shaolin and Wudang styles meaning it has the strong points of both internal and external styles. Classes teach confidence, patience, and discipline while improving your grace, strength, agility, and self defense skills.
Master Rudy Ibarra has twenty-three years experience training in martial arts. He was the first westerner to be accepted by Grandmaster Lu Yao Qin as a formal student, where he trained twice a day and seven days a week.
