Live From The Plaza is a free concert series hosted by the City of Austin to promote the cultural sector and the artistic excellence and cultural diversity of Austin musicians. Click to view the performance calendar.
Concerts are held Fridays from 12 - 1pm. All concerts are free!
Each week a food vendor will be on the plaza offering a $6.50 lunch special (includes tax).
The 2009 fall season concerts will be held every Friday from September 18 - December 18.

In person
Please join us on the outdoor plaza of City Hall, located at 301 W. Second St.
City Hall is on Lady Bird Lake in the 2nd Street Retail District with excellent access to the hike and bike trail, Austin Children's Museum, shopping, restaurants and more! Feel free to bring a picnic blanket or folding chair.
Parking is free on concert days in the City Hall garage from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. To receive free parking:
- Upon entering the parking garage, take a ticket at the booth.
- Enjoy the concert!
- When exiting the garage, present your ticket to the booth clerk and state that you attended the concert.
- The clerk will ask you to sign a credit sheet and will not charge you for your parking between 11:30 and 1:30.
Don't forget to take a moment to tour the People's Gallery art exhibit inside of City Hall. Pick up a self-guided tour packet in the lobby.
On television
The concerts will be broadcast live every Friday on cable Channel 6 . If you miss the live show, the concerts will repeat at a later date and time. Check the Channel 6 website for the schedule.
On the internet
The concerts are broadcast via live streaming video every Friday on the internet from the Channel 6 website (requires Flash player plug-in).
