Early voting for municipal run-off election begins May 25For immediate releaseMay 18, 2005 Early voting for the June 11 municipal run-off election begins Wednesday, May 25. The run-off election includes candidates for Place 3--Margot Clarke and Jennifer Kim. Registered voters can go to the polls beginning Wednesday, May 25, through Tuesday, June 7. Most polling sites will be open Monday-Saturday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sunday noon-6 p.m. Sites at the malls will be open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. All polling sites will be closed Saturday, May 28 - Monday, May 30, in observance of Memorial Day. For a listing of sites offering early voting visit www.ci.austin.tx.us/election. The City's Ethics Review Commission, together with the Austin League of Women Voters, will conduct a public Candidate Forum Sunday, May 22, 2005, for the Place 3 run-off election. The forum will be from 6 to 7 p.m. at Austin City Hall, 301 W. Second St. Free parking for the public is available in the City Hall garage. The May 7 voting was canvassed Tuesday.
