Workshop to discuss land use in Central West Austin

For immediate release
May 20, 2008

Neighborhood stakeholders (including property owners, renters, employees, employers and business owners) of Tarrytown, Deep Eddy, Pemberton Heights and Brykerwoods neighborhoods are encouraged to come and participate in the creation of the Future Land Use Map (FLUM) for the Central West Austin Planning Area.

A planning workshop will be from 6:30 – 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at the Lower Colorado River Authority Red Bud Facility, 3601 Lake Austin Blvd., Room 108.

The FLUM will identify the location of general land uses within the neighborhoods. The Neighborhood Planning and Zoning Department needs Austinites help to identify land uses to preserve and land uses to change, add or enhance. Participants can also be a part of creating the vision statement for the Central West Austin Neighborhood Plan.
