2009 Tournament and Clinic Information
2009 Austin Junior Golf Academy
A high quality golf instruction program recommended for the young and the newcomer to the game of golf. The program covers instruction in 6 basic golf skill areas; pitching, putting, chipping, fairway irons, driving and sand traps. Classroom instruction includes courtesy, etiquette, care of the course, and how to use the rule book.
Age: Any boy or girl who has reached their 6th birthday, by June 1, 2009, but not their 19th birthday by June 1, 2009.
Fee: $90.00. Please make check or money order payable to the Austin Junior Golf Academy (AJGA). Limited scholarships are available. Call 477-6963 for information and/or an application.
Sessions Dates:
Session 1 June 8th - 12th, 8:00am to 11:00am
Session 2 June 15th - 19th, 8:00am to 11:00am
Location: All sessions will be held at Hancock Golf Course at 811 E. 41st Street.
To Register for the Academy: On site registration for this very popular program is March 2nd at the Lions Municipal Golf Course. Call 477-6963 for additional information. Forms may be picked up beginning February 2nd at any Municipal Golf Course. May register up to 10 students. Class size is 6 students. Registration will be accepted after March 17th. Contact Lions Municipal Golf Course at 477-6963. Registration is limited to 422 students.
