Upcoming Renovations |
In 2006, Austin voters approves Proposition 3 – Parks and Parkland bond, issuing $84.7 million to construct, renovate, improve, and equip public parks, recreation centers, natural areas and related facilities. Among those was the expansion and improvement of Northwest Recreation Center. The project includes adding 7,500 sq ft, fixing existing problems with the facility, and equipping the facility with modern amenities to accommodate the needs of the Northwest Austin community. The renovation project is set to begin in early 2010 and expected to last approximately one year. Unfortunately the facility must be closed during the renovation project. Please contact Northwest Recreation Center if you have any questions concerning the project or any of the existing programs.
