Neighborhood Teen Program
Almost every teenager wants and deserves a safe place to visit where the door is always open to them. The Neighborhood Teen Program (NTP) of the Austin Parks and Recreation Department offers such a place for Austin's teenagers.

Although the basis for this program is recreational by nature, the Neighborhood Teen Program addresses the issues affecting teens, their community, and their environment with understanding and sensitivity. The program is designed to keep the teens off the streets and in a structured environment where they can learn to become contributing members of the Austin community by discouraging gang participation and substance abuse while emphasizing school and recreation.

The overall goal of NTP is to aid and enhance the quality of life for the teens of Austin by providing relevant, diversified, educational, and recreational programs and services within a safe and positive learning environment.
