Each summer, Playground Participants design theme related chalk art and draw designs on the sidewalks of their parks.
Many participants plan drawings ahead of time
in anticipation for Chalk Art day. Judges from the Parks and
Recreation Department visit
all the park sites to judge the art based on: use of theme, use of
color, creativity, and
originality.
One participant enthusiastically said, "See what teamwork
can do?"
