Volunteer
The Austin Parks and Recreation Department is always looking for a few good volunteers. You may chose to volunteer one time, once a week or join the department major volunteer program and Adopt a Park.
The department Adopt-a-park program was created to provide an opportunity for neighborhoods to adopt the park in their community

Our nature preserve program relies on volunteers to assit in in maintaining the vast inventory of natural areas. To volunteer or register your organization for a specific volunteer event e-mail us or call (512) 327-7723
Teens helping other kids. This is one of the perks of being a PARDner working with the Summer Playground Program. PARDners is a summer youth volunteer program aimed at teens from 13 to 16 years old.

Volunteer to Conserve Wildlife Habitat In Your Community
Join National Wildlife Federation’s nationwide team of volunteers who serve their communities as Habitat
Stewards! City of Austin Parks & Recreation Department and NWF are offering a specialized training to teach you
how to help others create and restore wildlife habitat in backyards, schoolyards and other private and public areas.
This training is offered through the City’s new Wildlife Austin program and will help Austin become certified by NWF
as the first Community Wildlife Habitat in Texas!
