Dead animals Solid Waste Services picks up dead animals if they are on the curb or on the street. To report one, call 3-1-1 weekdays between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. and between 8 a.m. and noon on Saturday.
Degreasers Residents of the City of Austin and Travis County should take leftover degreasers free of charge to the Household Hazardous Waste Facility. Avoid having to dispose of degreasers by buying only what you need.
Diapers Diapers cannot be recycled at the curb. Please seal them in a plastic bag and place them in your trash.
Dirt Solid Waste Services cannot collect dirt. You may be able to dispose of dirt at local landfills for a fee.
Disposable dishes and utensils Disposable dishes and utensils are recyclable if made of plastic #1 - #7. Rinse any food residue off them and place them in your Single Stream Recycling cart. Disposable dishes and utensils made of paper or other materials are not recyclable−please bag these items and put them in your garbage cart.

Doors
Pay-As-You-Throw customers can set wooden and metal doors out during their bulky item collection.
You may be able to dispose of doors at local landfills for a fee.
If the door is in reusable condition, you can also donate it to the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store.
