Hazardous Waste
Residents of the City of Austin and Travis County should take household quantities of most types of hazardous waste free of charge to the Household Hazardous Waste Facility. The facility is NOT able to accept ammunition, appliances, biologically active waste, computers, explosive materials or radioactive waste.
Businesses should comsult a private hazardous waste disposal company.
Herbicides
Residents of the City of Austin and Travis County should take household quantities of herbicides free of charge to the Household Hazardous Waste Facility. Empty containers should be put in the trash. They are not recyclable. Avoid having to dispose of herbicides by buying only what you need.
