Access Television
TARA manages contracts and resources for Public, Educational and Government
(PEG) access television services:
- Channels. Nine channels under five managers.
- Equipment. Over $1 million worth purchased, maintained, repaired
and replaced by Time-Warner Cable and Grande Communications.
- Funds. Over $617,500 per year from Time-Warner Cable subscribers to support public access television.
The three public access channels (10,11 & 16) are operated by a
non-profit contractor, Public
Access Community Television (PACT), doing business as channelAustin.
