Citizens Water Conservation Implementation Task Force
Purpose of the Task Force: The Citizens Water Conservation Implementation Task Force (Citizens Task Force) shall serve in an
advisory capacity to water conservation staff in implementing Water Conservation Task Force recommendations and discuss
ideas to further the City's water conservation efforts, while providing expertise across a broad range of water use sectors.
The Citizens Task Force is a temporary task force and will expire on December 6, 2010.
Membership Information: The Citizens Task Force is composed of fifteen member slots, appointed by the Austin City Council.
The Citizens Task Force consists of members representing a variety of stakeholders including the following interest areas:
irrigators, large governmental users, large industrial users, environmental advocates, development advocates, commercial
property management, multi-family developments, restaurants, hotels, and 6 at-large members. Citizens Task Force members
are appointed for a term of office of two (2) years.
