Rebates of $30 per barrel are available for rainbarrels holding 75 gallons or more. (Two smaller barrels may be purchased for one $30 rebate if the combined capacity is at least 75 gallons.) Barrels purchased through the City and barrels previously used as rainbarrels are not eligible for rebates. Applicants must be customers of Austin Water Utility or an eligible water district and agree to keep the rainbarrel in use within the AWU service area for a five-year period.
