Please read entire Program Application and Guidelines prior to purchasing a toilet. Not all customers or toilets will qualify for rebates. Applications must be received within 30 days of purchase or installation.

Only the Toilets listed below qualify for the Toilet Replacement Program rebate option. Toilet price rebate includes bowl and tank and it excludes tax, wax rings, bolts, toilet seat, etc.

How Toilets Are Chosen

Toilets on this list meet two criteria: First, they have very good flushing performance based on the independent study "Maximum Performance (MaP) Testing of Popular Toilet Models", Veritec Consulting and Koeller and Company; Second, they do not use an early closing flapper, which can increase water use if replaced with a standard flapper.

Only the styles listed for each toilet (round, elongated, ADA) are eligible for rebate. Other styles may be available for the same model of toilet, but do not meet the eligiblity requirements. A rebate is not offered on those toilets because the water savings could be lost.

Retailer names are provided as a courtesy to customers, and do not imply endorsement by Austin Water Utility or the City of Austin. These retailers have locations in the Austin metropolitan area and have indicated to us that they carry the brands listed. Not all models may be in stock at each retailer, some may require special orders. Due to constantly changing inventories, please contact individual retailers to confirm current availability.
