| FEMA Map Modernization Project FEMA has released preliminary new and updated floodplain maps
to the City of Austin. The City of Austin hosted three public
meetings on April 18th and April 19th at the time and locations
shown below. The meetings included a 30-minute presentation
which introduced the new maps, informal viewing of the new maps,
and a question/comment period. Hard copies of the maps were
available at the meetings for viewing. FEMA and City of Austin
Watershed Engineering Division representatives were available
at the meeting to respond to questions.
